A way of linking to the glossary with standard functionality could be replacing the actual link for a small image that links to the glossary. Hovering over the image shows that you will be directed to the golssary. It would look like:

Welcome to the Template:Gloslinkwiki. Here you will find documentation, articles, events and general information about the MCYFS. There is no restriction on reading any of the content, but for editing you need to log in. If you are new to work with Mediawiki software have a look at the FAQ page where you find manuals and frequently used code in this wiki.

For the implementation of the Template:Gloslink, the European Commission requires information on European crop production of the current growing season. To acquire this information, the MARS-project (Monitoring Agricultural ResourceS) was started. The project is supervised by two units of the European Commission's Joint Research Center (JRC) in Ispra (Italy): Agri4Cast and Foodsec. The MARS-project is now running in an operational context what is called the MCYFS.

And so on.
