How do I create a new page?

First option

Change the pagename part of a URL for an existing page to the new pagename. In this case, replace:

.../agri4castwiki/index.php/FAQ

by:

.../agri4castwiki/index.php/my_new_page_name

This will displays the default 'no article' message that has the usual 'Edit this page' link, which can be used to begin adding content.

Second option

Type the name of your new page in the search box en Go. Follow the link 'create this page'

Third option

Create a link to the not-yet-existing new page:

my_new_page_name

This renders: my_new_page_name

Follow the link and you will be notified that the page does not exist. From here you can create the page by pressing the create tab, or just start typen in the edit box.

How do I put a page into a category?

To give the wiki structure, the main information pages are categorized. For a list of available categories see the Categories page. To put a page into a category add to the bottom of the page.

Example

To add a page into the category 'Weather Monitoring' add the following code at the end of the page:

Note: The writing style categories can be added in the same way but don't need to as they are included when a page uses a template for a certain style. When adding Expert to the top of a page to give it the 'Expert' look, it is automatically added to the 'Expert' category.

How do I give a page the look of it's writing style?

For the look of writing styles (the so called 'level of information') three templates are created. Add to the top of the page to use the template. When using one the three templates the page is automatically added to the according category. The three templates are:

 • Non expert
 • Scientific
 • Expert

Example

To give a page a non-expert look (and add it to the the non-expert category) add the following code to the top of the page:

Non expert

How do I create collapsable text?

The concept is to use a template over a 1 column table with an alway's visible header and the collapsible tekst in a single row that is hidden. The underlying implementation uses Javascript to add a "show" or "hide" link in the header part of the table, and to turn the visibility of the rows below on or off. In web browsers that do not support Javascript, or where Javascript is disabled, the content will always be displayed, and the "show"/"hide" links will not be present. The default behavior will initially hide the details with the option 'collapsed' set in the used template.

Example code with tamplate

Example code in table style

This is the permanent content
This is the content you can hide

Both code examples render:

To show all text in the initial state don't use the parameters 'collapsed'.

Example code in table style

This is the permanent content
This is the content you can hide

This renders:

This is the permanent content
This is the content you can hide
